Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu inspected various activities at Bagma Agri Producer Company Limited. The Governor inspected the Model Integrated Farming System there. Pig farming, fish farming, poultry, beekeeping, goat farming are being done together there. Later, he visited the milk collection center, oil extraction unit, BAPCL mart and exhibition stalls of various products. He also interacted with the farmers and farm workers.
At the event, Hon’ble Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu said that agriculture is the lifeblood of Tripura and the mainstay of the state’s economy. However, in order to keep the agriculture sector profitable in a rapidly changing world, scientific methods must be applied. He said that the Integrated Farming System run by BAPCL is a model of climate resilience and efficient use of resources. This organization is also playing a commendable role in empowering the indigenous people. On this occasion, the Governor handed over a cheque of Rs 1 crore on behalf of Punjab National Bank to BAPCL Managing Director Sudip Majumder.
Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu chaired a meeting on Agribusiness and Financial Empowerment at the conference room of BAPCL. Amidst the distinguished dignitaries there were MLA Ram Pada Jamatia, District Magistrate of Gomati district Rinku Lather, General Manager of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Tripura Regional Office Anil S Kotmire, Senior Manager of RBI, Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank Satyendra Singh, Scientists at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) and many other dignitaries were present at the event.
