Nagpur is set to become the location for India’s first smart logistics park, led by XSIO Logistics Parks with a planned investment of Rs 2,000 crore. The project aims to deploy advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence for operational monitoring and carbon footprint tracking, integrating next-generation systems into core logistics infrastructure.
The smart park is part of XSIO’s broader vision to transform logistics and industrial facilities in central India. The company has already invested over Rs 400 crore in its existing Wadhgaon park near the Samruddhi Expressway, establishing a strong base before scaling up smart capabilities across the campus.
Central to the Nagpur project is an AI-enabled platform that will support real-time carbon footprint monitoring, sewage treatment optimisation, and eco-management functions. XSIO is in discussions with major technology partners to integrate predictive analytics, scenario modelling, automated traffic flow controls, and AI-based vehicle movement systems. Each unit within the smart park will require an incremental investment to activate these digital and environmental features.
This development aligns with national manufacturing and logistics priorities, where connectivity, efficiency, and technology integration are increasingly critical to supply chain performance. Nagpur’s location at the geographical heart of India and access to multimodal corridors positions the new facility to serve key markets and industrial sectors.
Alongside the smart logistics park, XSIO’s growth blueprint includes further infrastructure development across Nagpur. Planned projects encompass the second phase of the Wadhgaon facility, a logistics park on Amravati Road, an industrial park in Butibori, and an urban logistics hub in Wardhaman Nagar. These assets are expected to support manufacturing, distribution, and supply chain companies seeking enhanced warehousing and industrial capabilities in central India.
